Pathology and Biopsies of the Head, Neck, Oral, Skin and Bones
Our oral and maxillofacial surgeons are the experts in diagnosing and surgically treating pathology of the head, neck and mouth regions. Typically abnormal or pathologic tissue is removed by our surgeons and examined with microscopy by an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial pathologist center to render a diagnosis and thereby allow our surgeons to effectively treat these abnormalities.
Your surgery can be done with local anesthesia similar to dental procedures, with nitrous oxide (or laughing gas) to help relax you, or be done asleep under intravenous anesthesia. Please convey your interest to "go to sleep" when scheduling your consultation as we have some important instructions for you to follow.
