Tooth Extractions
Occasionally teeth are so severely broken down or diseased that they cannot be fixed. Your general dentist will help you decide if the tooth should be removed and refer you to our office.
It is very important to discuss with your dentist the possibility of replacing the extracted tooth or teeth with dental implant/s prior to surgery so that we may schedule additional time for you to ask any questions you may have regarding implants and the overall treatment plan.
When teeth need to be removed your surgery can be done with local anesthesia similar to dental procedures, with nitrous oxide (or laughing gas) to help relax you, or be done asleep under intravenous anesthesia. Please convey your interest to "go to sleep" when scheduling your consultation as we have some important instructions for you to follow.
